Salamanca, Spain, boasts Colegio Delibes, an esteemed language institute that welcomes students worldwide. Known as the Golden City for its breathtaking sandstone architecture, Salamanca showcases its splendor most vividly in the Plaza Mayor, where you can explore a variety of eateries, cafes, and boutiques amidst the spectacular golden hour.
You’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Salamanca during fall, spring, or summer semesters, studying alongside peers from diverse global backgrounds. Emphasizing a rich cultural exchange, you live and dine with a carefully selected family, many of whom annually host ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏ students. This immersive experience fosters a supportive environment for academic and personal growth.
Study Abroad Academics
All MC students are eligible, regardless of major. In fall and spring semesters, you can earn up to 15 credit hours in Spanish, 1 hour of P.E., and 1 chapel credit during your stay in Spain. Spanish majors may even achieve up to 18 Spanish credit hours under special conditions.
For those joining in the summer, there’s the opportunity to spend a few days in Madrid with MC faculty before traveling to the language institute in Salamanca. Students will earn up to 6 Spanish credit hours, along with 1 hour of P.E. and 1 chapel credit.
Dive into a range of courses, from Elementary Spanish and Conversation to Advanced Grammar, Art, and History of Spain. All classes are led by expert Spanish professors skilled in teaching Spanish as a second language.
You’ll enroll directly at MC and receive MC credit. The Department of Modern Languages will guide you through the registration process to ensure a smooth academic journey.





Room, board, and tuition are part of the program cost, and not all scholarships apply. Students travel to Madrid independently, but transportation to Salamanca is arranged by MC. Students are responsible for airfare and personal travel.

Room, board, and tuition for 6 hours of Spanish and 1 hour of PE credit are included in program costs. Typically, the program includes a few days in Madrid upon arrival and a visit to Cordoba all led by MC faculty. Also included throughout the summer are special day trips with students from around the world.
Scholarships do not apply to summer programs. Students are responsible for airfare and personal travel.
The program runs from the end of May to the end of June.
College students in good standing from other universities are invited to travel with MC to earn credit and are expected to uphold the same code of conduct as MC students.
